Hey SoLmates!
Rebecca here, I recently sat down with my good friend and the incredible team from Naked Foods t to explore a little bit more about what makes their brand new range of premium speciality coffee so sustainable and fantastic !
Tell us about Naked Foods - What is your mission!
We are a sustainable bulk foods store, specialising in health and lifestyle products. Our mission is to ultimately inspire and provide options for sustainable and healthier living for everyday people, with the only best products that nature can offer. We aim to deliver high quality and functional foods with only the cleanest and most natural ingredients with no added sugars, artificial colours or flavours that are sourced from local suppliers and farmers markets - stripped from the excess packaging, dramatically reducing our carbon footprint in every way we can. Our brand is centred around zero-waste and we pride ourselves on our sustainable approach with a 'eat what you love, buy what you need' motto.
Tell us about the product we are giving away, why is it so special?
We've teamed up with our friends at St Dreux to present Naked Coffee. This blend is made up of three very unique and highly regarded coffees in their own right. A soft, full, syrupy body with a melted milk chocolate mouth-feel and a sweet toffee aftertaste. What makes it even more special is that it is packed in 100% compostable coffee bags, and available reusable cardboard canisters to pop in your pantry!
What are some of Naked Foods core values?
Tell us your biggest learning when it comes to running a sustainable business?
May need to ask the big boss this question* but from my experience, it would be appealing to every day person and encouraging them that they don't need to change their entire lifestyle but can make small changes that the environment will thank them for!
How do you implement sustainability into your daily practice, what makes you a SoLmate?
As a bulk foods store, we pride ourselves on our zero-waste lifestyle. We offer a simple scoop, bag and weigh process that allows our customers to buy as little or as big as they desire - limiting the excess food waste and packaging you'd find in a typical supermarket, that ends up in landfills. Our goal is to inspire others to make small changes that make big differences and of course, work with like-minded brands to encourage a more sustainable way of living.
