#SoLStraws | New Addition to the Collection

by Rebecca Veksler on August 26, 2019

Half a million straws are used in the world every day. They are one of the top polluters on our beaches and harmful to animals #EmbraceTasteEndWaste

The Firing Line

Straws have recently come under the firing line after a video emerged online of one being stuck up a turtles nose. If you still have no idea what the whole straw chaos is about then you obviously haven't seen the video. I literally can not see a straw without seeing that video clip playback in my head. It breaks my heart every time, and if you've seen it, I imagine it breaks yours too.

I recently wrote a blog post on how we need to change our mindsets and live life more in the slow lane. We need to learn to use the materials we already have instead of saturating another market. When it comes to single-use plastic anything seems better at the moment. We need to focus on creating reusable products that we don't need to constantly replace. A plastic straw has the average use time of fewer than 12 mins, HOW CRAZY!

Sol’s Straw Kit is made so all our Sol-Mates avoid sucking on plastic with all 3 of our beautiful sexy and sleek stainless steel straws; Rose Gold, Yellow Gold, Silver and our Straw Pouch.

SoL Straws

Luckily for us, SoL have just released there new reusable SoL Straws and we couldn't be more excited. Three beautiful colours, including my favourite, rose gold + a stylish straw pouch so you can be ready for a cheeky strawless cocktail any time of the day!

Here at SoL, we are on a mission to show you that it is possible to be sustainble yet stylish at the same time. We are here to share the knowledge and help everybody learn more about our beautiful planet and the impact of over-consumption.

Every day approximately 8 million pieces of plastic pollution find their way into our oceans #EmbraceTasteEndWaste
